A4  Staff

Meet our incredible staff!

AJ Angello, CPT

Owner / Coach

Ever since I can remember, I dreamed of opening my own gym. I am extremely passionate about fitness and sports performance, and nothing in this world makes me happier than seeing people achieve their goals and live healthy lifestyles.

I am currently a senior Exercise Science student at Salisbury University. I hold an ACE personal trainer certification and am working towards becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I have been a personal trainer for three years, and I completed the Sports Performance Internship at Yale University in the summer of 2020.

I graduated from Delmar High School in 2019, where I played baseball and football. I had the privilege of being a captain of the 2017 DIAA D2 Football State Champions. Now I compete in powerlifting as a member of the United States Powerlifting Association. On the rare occasion I'm not in the gym coaching or working out, I love to spend time with friends and family. I like to fish, golf, and do anything outdoors!

Sarah Granese, B.S., CSCS

Manager / Coach

I've been active my whole life. I ran track for my high school back home in Connecticut and continued my athletic career at Southern Connecticut State University. Along with running, lifting was just as important for quarter milers and hurdlers like myself. After about 8 years of running track, I knew the weight room was where I belonged.

I have my CSCS through the NSCA and a bachelor's in Exercise Science Human Performance from Southern Connecticut State University. I've interned with Yale Sports Performance in the Summer of 2020 and 2021. Prior to working for A4, I coached under Jim Ronai, who owns his own facility in Connecticut and was one of the strength coaches for Team USA Baseball at the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.

I've always been passionate about exercising, but even more passionate about helping others see their potential and exceeding their expectations. Nothing is more fulfilling than helping others become the best version of themselves, physically and mentally.

Drew Owens

Assistant Coach

I attended Mardela Middle and High School where I played baseball, basketball, and soccer. I studied Exercise Science at Salisbury University for 3 years before transferring to to the University of the Cumberlands where I study coaching.

I want to be able to have a positive impact on every person I interact with and help individuals get to the place they want to go. Growing up, I worked with a personal trainer every winter to prepare for baseball season. I have always been fascinated with exercise and why we train the way we do.

In my free time, I coach baseball for the East Coast Titans. I do instruction for them in the fall and winter and coach their 14U team in the spring and summer. Other than that, I spend most of my free time watching sports and expanding my knowledge.

Kory Pritchard

Assistant Coach

I’m 19 years old and I’m from Middletown, Delaware. I currently play collegiate baseball for Delaware Technical Community College and have played baseball my whole life. I plan to major in exercise science and have been lifting for over 5 years.

A big reason I started lifting was because of baseball, and then I ended up falling in love with the fitness industry as a whole when I realized how much more it had to offer in life. When I was younger I always wished I had someone to teach me how to lift properly, but I had to figure it out on my own. By becoming a strength coach I hope to make a positive impact on as many people’s lives as I can.

In my free time, I love to hang out with my friends, lift weights, run, go to the beach, and cook.

Ben Dunlap

I am currently attending Salisbury University studying Exercise Science. Along with working for my degree, I am finishing a certification in personal training through NASM and a Special Strength Certification from Westside Barbell. As a kid and through high school, I competed in a mix of sports including football, basketball, track, and powerlifting.

Coming from the great state of Texas, I have made my way to the eastern shore in pursuit of my life goal: simply improving the lives of those I come across. A vital role in that process is fitness. Helping people become confident in the machine that is their body and helping them further understand themselves physically and mentally.

As a kid football was my passion. We all had nicknames and mine was “Big Guns” because I was the QB. Ironically, I was the skinner kid who had more bone to show than muscle. Instead of giving into my thoughts of the inability to change, I turned to reality and used myself as testing grounds. I learned how amazing our bodies really are and the limitless possibilities we have with them.  When I’m not getting better in the gym, I like to spend time with my family and friends and just be active!
